Client Goal: Weatherproof the roof of a 3-story office building in downtown Silver Spring to handle the 100 year rainstorms that we seem to get every year now in the Mid-Atlantic.
Remove existing membrane roof and replace with 2 layer membrane system
Reslope the flat roof with a “pitch” to allow water to run off the roof
Create swales in the new, sloped roof to direct rain water to skuppers
Replace old, dysfunctional AC units and ducts with new, zoned, mini-split system
Weather seal existing, metal ducts.
New parapet metal work and skuppers.
We also work with many commercial clients to help create unique solutions. Here, we have installed a very large, retractable LED video wall in an executive conference space. This project involved significant knowledge of automated machinery and the ability to make this function safely with the simple push of a button.
